  • Target Camera

    Hi All,

At one stage I was chatting with a guy back on shooting.com.au who was building a target camera system and developing it (software, components and mounting system). I can't remember the guys name or the old forum handle. Does anyone know the bloke I'm talking about?

If so, is he a member on here or does anyone have any contact details for him?

I'd really like to find out if he has something available for purchase.

    Cheers

    Was his handle.

I don't think he is a member on here, but I have his you tube channel.

    Haven't heard much from him.

Yep, that's the guy, cheers Skip. What's his youtube channel?

It seemed to me like he had a promising product on his hands, but maybe it's to hard to commercialise or something?

I'm about to try out one based on an IP camera, an old Wireless access point and a couple of directional 802.11 antennas.

I will know more on Saturday night.

Moved into Spotting Scopes as it has more in common with that than Questions on Australian Gun Laws.

Sounds like some other interesting DIY's happening, if you guys are keen to share some more info, that would be much appreciated. Best of luck with your projects either way!

I use a cheap Fuji point and shoot (slr style body) with 30X lens, probably useless for extreme long range, but far better value than any spotting scope for under 300m use IMO. Also good for shooting wildlife that shouldn't be shot with a gun.
