  • Other than Tikka or Howa :-)

    G'day
Have moved too (and changed handle)
Some of us shoot something other than Tikka or Howa. Hope you can cope with that! :P
This one is an old Steyr Model L Carbine in 22-250. It needs a little TLC but it will be a nice do everything carbine soon.
    Cheers

Looks very nice mate - with a bit of luck she will shoot well too.

Hope so, as the saying goes "only accurate rifles are interesting rifles"

I don't even have a Tikka or Howa! Here's my Steyr Scout, 11 years old, had plenty of use before I bought it earlier this year. 308Win, with a Zeiss HD5 3.5-15x44. Replaced the stock recoil pad with a Pachmayr grind to fit and I don't feel any recoil now.

Took her to the St Marys on the weekend to do some load testing. Why is it that every time I get 4 in a 5 shot group touching I always have to do a flyer on the 5th! Anyway I'm happy

Very Nice. I would have no hesitation in owning that rifle.

A relatively recent acquisition. It needed some parts but she’s looking good now. If she shoots halve as good as Bonsai’s Steyr I’ll be over the moon.

I have a Thompson Centre Precision hunter in .223. Great rifle, very well made.

This was may last outing a couple of weeks ago, doing a bit of load development. 5 shots at 100M, I also dropped the last shot, bugger.
