KRG are looking to release a more budget conscious chassis along with their W3 chassis already available.

Looks good so far, photo is just a rendering

    Here's some basic info:
-Actions: Rem700SA first and T3 in SA calibers following shortly
    -Fixed only
    -3.1 lbs
    -$549 intro price
-Comes with new cheekpiece design (not overmolded version)
-Takes AICS mags without additional floorplate
-Adjustable cheek, LOP (spacers), buttpad height, grip size
-Takes many of the W3 accessories and will have some of its own
-Planned availability is soon after SHOT
-Will be offered in other colors besides black, special runs at first, then maybe full time

    Compared to the Whiskey-3:
-Uses same bedding system (backbone), trigger guard
-Polymer forend vs aluminum of W3C (less mounting options than W3C but less heat transfer)
-Buttstock is polymer and lacks the quick adjust LOP of the W3
    -Lighter than W3C by 1.3lbs
-less costly than W3C fixed by $390 (intro price)
    -Colored options besides black
-no provisions for side rail/sling mounts like W3C but does accept the Spigot Mount

Modularity: The X-Ray can take the Whiskey-3 buttstocks and vice versa, also the Whiskey-3 can take the X-ray forend and vice versa so it's a completely modular system. We will in the future offer the sub-components separately. (Forends, backbone, and all the buttstocks)

Looks awesome, good to see KRG venturing into the budget chassis market.

I love my whiskey 3 but god damn it was expensive compared to that!!

Will be keeping an eye on this.

Good alternative, but cant beat the full version IMO(yes I know the price diff)
I cant even decide if the gen 4 looks better than the gen 3?
Anyway cant go wrong as I'm sure the build quality will be there.

They really know how to make an ugly butt don't they.
At least now they're way more competitive. Good on them for reaching out to the lower end of the market.
We use 43 muscles to frown,
        17 to smile,
and 2 to pull a trigger.
I'm lazy and I'm tired of smiling.

I really like that, no crap hanging of it that it doesn't need and plastic to hang on to rather than metal but still with the aluminium backbone inside it.

          Nice and simple.

A bit plain, but looks like it will do the job.

Would look great dipped... perhaps digital, multi or similar

Agreed. Particularly if you replaced the plastic with molded CF - light stiff and easy to hold.

I dont mind it. More simple design compared to other chassis. I hate the look of alot of chassis but this ones ok. With the long waiting times for Manners and Mcmillan stocks, i would almost have one of these Would look good painted.
