I just bought a Sako but I am thinking of returning to the old faithful Remington's. Something about them

I'll grab a pic of mine next time i take her out of the safe. There's something about Remington's that's just damn sexy.

        Cheers,

        Nuzo

P.S. Big fan of the KRG Bolt Lift, i have one and it's the best mod you can do hands down.

Beautiful rifle there auslander! I'd love a aics but so expensive one day maybe

Also recommend the KRG bolt knob! I chucked the rubber o-rings away and permanently urethaned it on. (easier enough to removed if i had to). With the standard bolt knob I would always take skin off the back of my thumb area when cycling. Now I can cycle the bolt much faster and efficiently!

I'll upload a pic of my 700P this arvo!

Here's my 700 LTR 20" in 223. Fitted a KRG bolt knob, EGW rail, Cheek rest from BigCal on the old forum, recoil pad which was more for a bit of extra length of pull and a Zeiss HD5 5-25x50. Wonderful rifle, but still not broken in.

Does not like factory loads at all. At its worst with PPU 55gr I was getting groups of 2 inches at 50m. Yeah, not happy. The best with factory loads were the black American Eagle AR223, which would do an inch at 50m at best. But with reloads, it is fantastic! (Excuse the flyer in the 5 shot group below. I always do that! )

                700 SPS in .308W.
Boyds laminated thumbhole stock not only improved the look but the accuracy too.
                Leupold 6 - 20.

Rifle is for sale if anyone is interested. ($1,100 without the scope)

The middle one of brents 700's looks like a m24 sws in a way with the wear marks and sandy/beige camo.

Don't own a Remington, never have.
BUT, I'm very tempted to do so in the future simply due to the good 'ol M40A1 (top).

I would love to do a very simple clone build, for the purpose of achieving the same look with good performance naturally.
I would top it with a Kahles though

700p LTR. Currently stock as a rock with zeiss conquest 4.5-14x50 on top. Got plans for the future though. Next is a Surgeon DBM and to follow that will be a new scope. Either a vortex razor hd or nightforce f1 Depending on the pennies Ofcourse. I can already tell this thread will be some fun.

Here my first and last Remington.
Trued SPS tactical, 308, 20in barrel, fluted and threaded (levang linear brake has been replaced by a RAD brake) bedded in a wilddog thumb hole tactical, machined to feed from AW double stack mags, we have a love/hate relationship, which will see a .260 barrel being fitted in the near future....

                    Working...
