  • springer for beginner field target

Any ideas on a suitable springer for A couple of juniors wanting to try air rifle competition and especially Field Target.
Bear in mind weight and price. I know that the adage is to save until good is affordable. On the other hand I don't want to frighten them away.
We are holding the Qld .state Air Rifle titles at our club next year and we are trying to get the local shooters into Air Rifle.

I will interested in peoples advice here as well, Jim, as you know I would like to remove a fishing rod from the young blokes hands, we did way too much walking around in that bay chasing fish and the water with no success   Do you have dates for the State Titles yet?

        How about a HW50 Jim ?

Smallish, quiet & accurate to boot ?

        They tune up nicely too

          Beeman R7
That one Phil has is a sweet piece of gear.
And that was before he tuned it.
I wondered what the fuss was about until I shot it.

Thanks for the suggestions . This gives us something to work with.
Finding used will be most unlikely so who are likely stockists?

This is a problem in Aus.

As far as I know no one has the Beeman R7, aka HW30s on the shelf, and they have to be ordered. Delivery takes an enthusiasm diminishingly looooong time. I'm still waiting on mine, with no light at the end of the tunnel, and it's been months.

Encouraging though, that Druid seems over the moon with his long awaited 77

Bowen are holding the state titles. About 2 hours north of Mackay. There will be wind and maybe rain but will be lots of fun.
