This is why it pays to always shop around. I can never understand some people who just buy the first thing they see.

They know when the competition has run out, the customer has no choice!

Also Ratman if you can live with the different head stamp, 243win or 308 win brass can be used for a bit less than 260rem

I paid $147 for Lapua ,260 from LGS, because at the time BRT who list them at $116 were out of stock till late Oct.
I so wish DWCusters still had the Lapua/VV contract to sell .
I also paid $52 for rem .260rem brass which is a great price

      QUESTION

*Necking down will create donuts and create thick necks that need to be turned.

*Necking up will not require neck turn ect.
So 243win brass could be placed into a 260rem die and sized and ready for loading.

Is that the way it works or will they both require extra case prep?

Im 99.9% sure you can size .243 up to .264 with without any other prep work.
I was told dont size 7-08 or 308 down to .264 by a GS at LGS

Brt was the cheapest I could find.
Great people to deal with too.
And I got the last 200 from there last shipment.
They did say more was not too far away - let them know and they will allocate you some out
      of the next shipment.
Unless your in a great rush of course.

Btw LGS sold a mate rem 260 brass for $90 a hundred.
We do spend a fair bit of cash there though.
