  • HT sniper scope case

What is the going price for one of these?

I also know the whereabouts of the scope for rifle no 60418 if anyone is interested.

Scope cases come up very rarely. Be prepared to chase one over $500 if at auction.

Is scope for rifle No 60418 fitted with rings? I Does it have the bases with it? Is it a Low mount or a High mount scope?
The rifle was one of the 100 that went through a factory refurb in the fifties. They were done purely as an exercise for the tradesmen at the factory. All were originally highmounts that were fitted with scopes from the left over production when the lowmounts were cancelled only 481 into an order for 1250. If it is a lowmount, the rear brass eyepiece ring should have a number on it roughly between 1750 and 1850, probably toward the high end...same with the rings if they are fitted.
If a highmount, the number will be around the 200 mark, maybe just under.

BTW, if the scope rings are not on it, or you are unsure, another way to tell is a lowmount scope will be marked PATT 1918 (AUST)/1... a highmount won't have the "/1" on the end.

      It is a high mount.

Front mount only unfortunately. Keen to reunite it with it's rifle.
