  • Are these repro or genuine Mosin stripper clips?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/30x-Stripper-Clip-for-MOSIN-rifle-7-62x54R-/111179892250?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=CfNCBAehGyVBiy7v5kUW2V1A3UI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I'm the one that bought this lot seeing as most sellers of genuine clips are in US and the majority won't send overseas. Now I am not so sure...I cannot find a reference to clips marked with a star, but then again the repros seem to be either unmarked or stamped with the Tikka logo. 7.62x54R.net shows Tula clips with a hammer, not a star. Can anyone shed light on this?

edit: If anyone is struggling with the link/pic on their computer, a description is simple - standard looking Mosin clips stamped with a little star in the middle. Some clips have a very slightly pitted surface.

(BTW, I won't be keeping all 30 and will sell/trade off most of these when I get them, I'll contact the mosin collectors on here when they arrive to see if anyone wants them assuming the classifieds section isn't up yet)

They are are not repros, they were manufactured in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic sometime post-WW2.

Hey I was about to reply and noticed you edited your post. Where did you get the reference for Czech manufacture?

Also I'd love to trade a few for your Izhvesk clips if you are interested.

Edit: Looks like the seller has put more up for sale.

Apparently so. "New made" so the ad says

Yeah @ $3.50 would have to be repros.

Its a moot point to me as I can't seem to get clips working right, genuine issue or not. Just as well i haven't had to lol

I've seen those, but can't help worrying if thats a lot of active rust for them to look that brown in the pics. :/
      Working...
