My two russian specimens...M1895 Tula 1940 Nagant revolver and 1936 Tokarev TT-33 (note the extra 6mm extended barrel on the Tok, so much less concealable now obviously )

Both bluing and barrels are in great condition...both barrels may well have been unfired when I got them. Both looked just as clean as my M&P

^sorry photobucket is doing this crap lately

Love the Nagant, after i saw yours the first time I knew i would have to have one. So i found one and it is awaiting another PTA for me in St Marys now

      Nice one Harry

Double action pull is reputed to be in the 20lb-mark...and /i wouldn't doubt it Lol

      SA is fine though

Nice photos buddy, the finish on both those look to be pretty darn good for their age.

How are you going getting hold of true Nagant ammo?

Yep, just a small bit of wear since I've had them

There are 2 boxes of 7.62x38r Fiocchi at Safari, every time I go in, there they are, still gathering dust on the top shelf

      Hardly surprising @ $90/box!

So I use .32 S&W Long in it. Gets significant leading which is a bugger to clean, but is still very accurate despite the reduced velocity from the lack of a gas-seal. Bought a whole heap of ammo last year, so when that runs out will have to get my rego papers changed to reflect the new calibre so I can buy more, post (f*n stupid) Ammo Bill

$90 a box, well they can try.

Such a waste of time the ammo bill, can't say I've run into issues with it yet though since I reload most of my stuff

The solution to the ammo bill is more guns and more calibres...

Heh yeah on that trigger, got a pull like a Lada truck lol

Win Aust rates their ammo @ 1700fps :P I've never chrono'd it though

When did I own a .410? Well never, mate!

Was my uncle's shotty; up at his farm when I was a kid...he only let me have 2, count em, two shells! Set an empty Tooheys can down on the dirt road (that should tell you how long ago it was) and I fired off both barrels. NOTHING happened...I was crushed lol. So sure I got it.

Walked down to the can and it was riddled with holes...the shot had gone through so fast, the can hadn't moved. FROM THAT VERY MOMENT I wanted a gun

And I could have bought a replica from Mick Smith's under 18 with no licence in those days. My mother put her foot down, firmly Next gun I held was in 2009 Lol...I try not to think of those decades lost now. Better late than never huh!

I am tossing that idea up now, do I make a Vault or hold off and just buy a few cabinets to house my ever growing collection.

The vault sound like the way to go but I am looking t move to NZ in 2015.

I want to build a vault in my house over there...

I was looking at something like this in the meantime..

I would love to build a vault one day, sort of make it extension of an entertainment area or pseudo dungeon ...

For now I will just keep adding safes to the collection.

        Cheers

Hey Chazbot, thanks for the great pics. Some real quality there.

Out of interest, is your C96 H class legal or is it the 4" barrel?

My Prussian Contract was made in 1916 and predates the short barrel "Bolo" models by some 5 years. It's barrel length is 5.5 inches. I'm not sure what is "class H" or not.

Very nice collection...would be good to see a Webley in there.
