  • simple but tasty goulash

dice 1kg of diced pork neck (you can use beef or venison)
dice 1 large brown onion and 4 coves of garlic.
get a large saucepan screaming hot and brown it all with a splash of olive oil and some salt.

add about 4-5 tablespoons of mild/hungarian style paprika, 1/3 jar of tomato paste, salt & pepper to taste and a red capsicum de-seeded and diced.

then just cover with beef stock, bring to boil and then simmer for 2 hours.

i serve with homemade spaetzle, but pasta/rice/gnocchi is good too

    simple and delicious

you wont be dissaointed by this one, dont let its simplicity/lack of ingredients put you off, i got it from the chef off a german restaurant after eating there for years and constantly asking for the recipe.

i forgot to add that a dollop of sour cream on top when serving works a treat too
