  • Caliber engraving and accidental chamber casting

    I cerakoted my rifle today. I always liked the look of engraving through the cerakote so I had a go, I reckon it looks pretty cool.

    I used a golf tee to mask off the chamber when I was spraying it, apparently they arent rated for 120 degrees C but it made a beautiful chamber cast. A puff of compressed air down the barrel popped it out. Not a bad way to check the rifling either, it left a perfect impression:

        Hi mate, I'll snap some this arvo, just rushing to get to the range to get it sighted in for this weekend, then I can tidy a few little things up.

      Here's a couple from the range this arvo. It was banging the little plates @ 500m really well, 3 mil drop from 100 to 500m:
